RE: Connection doesn’t work WiFi Point with original icom
Are you sure about your icom that it support WIFI? Is it built in ?
i recommend Using any external Access point , link it with icom easily . i am using my icom A2 with a cheep Tp Link wifi access point without any issues i only Edited the access point ip in the same range with icom for example the icom ip is 169.254.92.38 make the Access point ip 169.254.92.200 you can use any old ruter or adsl router that you have in your store. only link it with ethernet to the Icom and enjoy your bmw wirelessly |

RE: Connection doesn’t work WiFi Point with original icom
If your laptop is Windows 10 installed, them manual from .pdf will not work for you.
If you use Win 10 you have to be connected to internet or hotspot will not work. First configure mobile hotspot as described in link in attachment. Enter a network name and password what you added in ICOM web. If you followed .pdf it should be name: ICOM pass:12345678. When done click on network in taskbar and activate Mobile hotspot. Go to Ethernet->Change adapter options and you`ll see new adapter named Microsoft...Right click->properties and change from DHCP to Static IP and write your ICOM IP. This is in short, but you should get the point |
