We have the same problem with ESYS both for original ICOM and a China clone. The problem occurs randomly and we can't understand why. As far as we noticed it happens after ISTA-D diagnosis. We have 3 different laptops and there is no difference which one we use. It seems like ICOM for some reason closes the ports needed for ESYS

Yes, you should also clean car mirrors and kick tires a couple times. You know - that will fix your ICOM MAGICALLY!!!

If ICOM car side ethernet works, ICOM looks for (and finds) ZGW and any other units on ethernet, if any, by ITSELF. That info is displayed in the channel/device configuration page (as I just spent time to make that screenshot just for you).

If your ICOM does list neither vehicle connection nor any ethernet units - IT IS FAULTY!!!! And no tire kicking (like DHCP and other suggestions here) will help. Time for you to learn a lesson of buying chinesium and move on.

Sorry that I am not yet familiar with the ICOM. The web browser says "vehicle ethernet aviable", but no ports are visible.

It is UNABLE to COMMUNICATE over it. Crap chinese junk. If you search this forum you will find multiple threads with exactly same problem. And there were much more of these before forum hack.

Theoretically everything can be fixed. There is the thread by ferrum about fixing ICOMs, but I don't remember if such a fault was mentioned.

Practically - I have no idea. Best case - return it to seller if you can.

What settings are there is ICOM ITSELF is not able to communicate with ZGW over car side ethernet???

I will give you a hint - NONE (well unless it's firmware is broken).

Without further information - OP's one was DOA. With original ICOM NEXT you have warranty in such a case!!!
