Hello,
Anyone can help me with updating firmware on my Icom A2 clone, is stuck on 03.15.09. I have tried also with ISTA to update but without success. 
I have attached a video to see how it reacts, after I update the Boot Image, the Application image just stays forever in Update Firmware and after that the Icom comes back in normal state and unchanged version.
Would appreciate your help!

This can happen when your ICOM internal memory is half of what is needed.
Known error, read back!
Read first post here, if I remember correctly the problematic is the R119 resistance!

RAM in Icom is 256784kb and FREE is around 230500kb, and I always make a reboot before trying to update firmware.

I measured R193 and it shows around 500 Ohm.

Also, is it possible to try to use ICOM_Restore.bin file and then to try with updating the firmware to the latest ?

I was able to restore functionality by flashing my 24c02 original backup. I have moved on to replace the crystal with a 33.000MHz one vs the 33.333MHz one that came on the unit. I ordered 3 different brands and not one of them works. If I install the original crystal the unit boots up fine. 

Can anyone point me in the right direction? The data sheets say pins 2/4 are ground and internally connected but the contacts on the board do not share this characteristic. I have attached a text file with links to where I bought the crystals.

Done one today, started rework changed crystal, changed r119, now 256mb and 33.000MHz. 52ohm resistor is not present, have to find one, any ideas? I've another icom board with an hole, short circuit failure, but that resistor is burnt out, there is another resistor on icom board that i can use for 52ohm?

where did you source your crystal? Whats the model number

The Chinese began to sell the next one with even more errors to eliminate which becomes unreasonable and much more difficult.

In the first 2 photos, a sample in which more microcircuits and 8 resistances need to be replaced. On 3 photos, another smaller RAM was added to the errors and the p119 fix will not work without a complete replacement of the operative
