XZBMW  CAS4 & MEVD1724 bench connection.
Working with the Weixy CAS4 Bench Harness, I can not make a connection with the mevd1724 dme.

I have connected:

CAS4 & working key
ZGW Hi
Jbbfe
Cluster
Push start button
DME

Using esys, I can only see cas4, jbbf, PDC & zgw. Same with autohex and autel.

I understand I need power, wake up, ground, pt can hi and pt can lo connection to the dme. I have doubled checked my connections to the dme and all seem okay.

Can someone please help verify which pins on the DME I need to make connection to and if there is any other wiring going to the dme I need to make sure I connect? Do I also need flexray wiring connected?

Vehicle in question is a 2013 BMW 528xi F10 VIN: WBAXH5C57DD112396

Flexray must be connected. The DSC module must also be connected to it. Without it, DME will not be visible.

Prpbably in DSC unit is CAN/ Flexray terminating resistor.

In older BMW:s it is that way. I am pretty sure that BMW does these new bus systems same way.

Thank you Cowboy, you were correct. I wired in a dsc unit and now I have bench connection with the DME.

Next issue: I am not able to calculate tal for software flashing using esys. It starts the calculation and gives error.

Is this a problem with my pszdata?

Attached is a picture of the error.

RE: CAS4 & MEVD1724 bench connection.
I had the same problem. The reason was that the units came from different cars and the numbers did not match the FA recorded for the given VIN.
"User 530" helped to solve the problem. He prepared ready-made SVT_ist files for my bench and now I can calculate the TAL and flash. To do it myself requires a lot of knowledge.

Thank you again for the insight.

Spending some time last night searching that error, it seems that it may also be related to the fact that I do not have an frm module connected. I may source one and see if that helps however I believe it may give the same exact error.

I will reach out to "user 530" if my experiment does not work.

RE: CAS4 & MEVD1724 bench connection.
Update:

Added an frm module and now I can continue on to the next hurdle. I am receiving a new error: 3 TAL lines have been set to status "not executable" during tal calculation. The details explain that there are missing SWEs for the TRSVC?

I am not sure how to proceed from here? I assume that the TRSVC must be removed somehow from the calculations in order to bypass this error and move forward.

RE: CAS4 & MEVD1724 bench connection.
Open the SVT ist in editor, delete all the ECUS that are not connected on the bench, save, Calculate SVT soll and flash. Or share your FA and SVT ist here and help will be found
