RE: Is ENET cable enough for G30?
As Node mentioned, it largely depends on the platform and level of equipment of the car.
I first started with fully loaded G11 and 60A power supply that wasn't enough to supply enough amps during initial self test. I then got 120A supply and have been satisfied with it ever since. That is not to say that 60A wont be enough for you or others, but you'll be playing it on the edge. If you like to work on your (and possibly other people's) car, then I suggest you get a proper PSU that can provide steady power throughout programming which can take up to several hours in some cases. Regular trickle chargers can not fill that cap, do not even contemplate it. You can get a cheap and reliable supply unit like MST-80/90+ for cheap and it will be sufficient enough to support energy demands of any current platform's BMW. I went through these same questions not too long ago. You can read it from here and here. |

RE: Is ENET cable enough for G30?
Yes, I got answer, that is I don't need to buy a expensive ICOM like device and ENET cable is enough. And I used to plan buy a 62A power supplier, and now I'm planning buy a 90A powser supplier.

Sorry I think you maybe mean I should mark the question as 'Solved ✔', but I don't know how to do it, should I modify topic title and add 'Solved ✔'? I see other topics, and the red solved looks like not part of topic title, it doesn't has hyperlink like the real topic title. It looks like some status of topic, but I couldn't find where to set it.
