Is a way to edit the vin modules from ÿÿÿÿÿ or 0000 to car my vin ? ^^

i have an E64

i try to do it with  ista-p but no sucess ^^

FG_lessen to read curretn vin
FG_schribein to write the vin u want with checksum letter
AIF_Lessen
AIF_schribein you have to write some parameters with it, not only the vin, u can see what it needs in job description

for the modules u can't change the AIF, u need to flash it.

i retrofit many option as lan departure assist, HUD, ACC stop and go, SZL with heating, Night vision (with module emulator).

2nd hands from ebay, i always try to catch the last revisions regarding date and those who end after part numbers with -1 or -2. some was on 1st F series

you can do this with winkfp, when you prepare your flash, you write also vin there

but 0 or y are also good and rather leave it as it is

it will be great if you have tutorial because i found nothing... on tool32 i found a link for cic but im lost about what prg i need to select, look i need to change the vin everytimes in 2 prg files if  i get...

Some units CAN'T store VIN. In such cases you read that as ÿ or 0. AFAIR CID is one of them (don't do much work of E anymore). Probably others too.

Just leave them be if you have no faults.

That also depends on HOW you read those VINs quite MUCH!!! Are you reading AIF data? Then you need either to manually write AIF (not that elementary thing to do manually) or flash everything with AIF write enabled.
