From what I've read, this can also be caused by having TOO MUCH refrigerant in the system, causing the compressor to STRUGGLE and give off that rev-dependent whining sound.
If the compressor was just changed in yours, it could very well be that they added too much refrigerant / coolant? I'm taking mine (F48 - 2016 X1 2.8) to my mechanic tonight for the very same issue (that's why I looked this up) --- I just had the evaporator changed a few weeks back and the noise started after that (after the refrigerant was re-filled). Will report back if bleeding out some fixes my issue. |
