The firmware version is determined by the ICOM serial number, in China they are all the same 1120134. To change, you need to change the serial number in 24c02 to the serial number from the range 1801201, and then restore the ICOM  from the restore.bin

Your solution i fully working. Today I successfully repaired my pseudo ICOM-P with fan problem. It have A2 hardware inside (or even A3 like I see it's mainboard) so it has no fan. But it was updated with A1 firmware because it had serial from A1. Now all works. Thank You.
Another question : A3 starts from any special s/n or A2 and A3 has the same firmware ?

what is actualy the problem to use it with the ista d we have there like the the 4.18.2x or the last ista-p 3.66.1 ?

is any benefict to downgrade the firmware version ? any problem with the last firmware version i gess it should be on the new icom next ?

Can´t help you, but I will share my experience.
I have bought original ICOM Next 14 days ago to use it with the BMW prepay online service. After that I got from my friend notebook with Ista-d 4.12.12 and Ista-p 3.65.0 to try it. Ista-d no problem (tested on 3 motorcycles), Ista-p finds the motorcycle, identify him and pushes error of irregular state of device, then terminates season. I dont know if its because of the firmware. I will try to get Ista-P that matches the FW of my Icom (because I dont want to downgrade) and then share what i find.
