I am currently using version ISTA+ 4.30.xx, but I would like to update to a higher version soon. If I want to use this version with the original ICOM Next, it shows me "Firmware" as the status. The direct connection still works.

I am on 4.34.2x with 03-15-08. When I install new version of ISTA I also need to re run the msi for the firmware to clear the update because ISTA think's firmware is old. No need for newer at the moment.

Same happened to me. I needed to update Next A to new 22 msi from 09 once I installed 4.34.2x. Will also check how ICOM A2 is acting and if he will ask for new FW (guess not, but just out of curiosity)

No but in the release notes to ista 4.33.2x it says do not use icom next 3-15-08 as it breaks the communications to mdules while programming

According to posting by mjuhl2003, the potential error according to BMW with the 08 version should only occur with ISTA version 4.33.2x. This would mean that my version (4.30.xx) or the version of diagso (4.34.2x) shouldn't have this problem with the 08 version? According to BMW, you shouldn't use the 08 version with the ISTA version 4.33.2x? That's all, or?

I've done multiple motorrad ilevel updates with 4.33 and 4.34 with the 08 firmware and never had an issue like they described. Just straight LAN connection as well. Some of the sessions were 4 hours.

I have now updated the ICOM Next to the latest firmware (08). The update was successful and immediately after the update I was able to access to the vehicle via the updated ICOM and also display everything. When I then closed the ISTA+ program and started it again, it suddenly no longer shows the ICOM in the connection overview. Is it possible that the ICOM firmware is too new for my ISTA+ version (4.30.xx)? And that's why the ICOM is no longer displayed in the connection overview?

Good evening friends month also I have the same problem with ista-d 4.32.15 and icom next orginal firmware 3.15.08 the icom it is well detected by the network card of the pc and itool radar and in ista but it is not not detect car computers.
I tested with three icoms and three deferent PCs and deferent cars.
and all icom works fine under ista-d 4.31.40
