Same problem on my end with Hextag

1) Some ecu’s I cant even connect to for example F10 M5 Mev17…
2) FRM repair I cant even connect to frm
3) CAS4 No communication

MSV90 never tried

Keep in mind i contacted support many times with same outcomes each time
Check wiring, hextag should cover this ecu, send us picture of hextag serial number etc etc yet never real solution to fix it or exchange the unit.

I have one problem with hextag in first week of using...it stop reading CAS3.
Send it to them, and they send be back new device.

I dont use it as much, but after that I ready FRM, CAS2, CAS3/3+, CAS4, EDC16, EDC17, MEVD module without problem. Now is second time it let me down...

Back to MSV90 - I even try connecting external power supply and same situation...

Hextag always read FRM3 for me. And CAS2 and 3 works without any problems. I was always able to read engine control units.
Currently have MSD81 here and read it. MG1 also read Hextag.

If car starts then ISN is correct!! But checksum is the problem

I have done many many MSv90 with hextag and not once did it fail. It must be something with your tool.  Delete the hextag software and reinstall it. Then try again.

I did like you wrote but same situation. It unlock ecu 1 time on every 10 attemps. When it read, every reading is different....I dont understand that. Error in connection OK, but why reading are different? even in boot mode...

@willisodhiambo did you have any of part no. from first post?

I think you have a faulty tool. Might want to send it back to dealer with the DME they repair it.

Maybe is like you said maybe not. Support told me to replace one ic on pcb. I done that but same situation...no reading all time and when read...d-flash all time different. Write to them and wateing for response....
You think poor internet connection could be the  reason of that? This is last think to check

sorry to hear that some of our customers having issue with the msv90 and other some functions with hextag/hexprog. As these functions are tested here with real ecus and modules , there may be possible hardware issue caused it for you. if you face the same issue please contact our support team on via our skype account , whatsapp or through live chat from our website and please explain the exact issue if you having the same for so long. support team will check that and will provide you with proper guidance to solve that issues. Also as MSV 90 ecus have tricore password not in OTP portion. so if those ECUs written with any other files before it may change its password from p flash and if tried to read or clone ECUs it will give communication error as ECU password wrong. Then hexprog cannot unlock as the password is wrong on the file also cause the same kind of error with those ECU. So please make sure both of the above situation and let us know.

I doubt if it is internet. When I got my tool, I also could not read MV1724 and had to send the tool back for repair. I am almost 100% this is a bad tool!! cant support see that the reads are different all the time and that it fails to read. And if it is happening on more than one DME then obviously it is the tool. Insist on a replacement

It looks like Power Module hardware problem. I had it too after buy but resolder PCB resolve all problems.
