NBT Feature Installer Issues
Guys, have a bit of an issue. Have NBT EVO (ID 4 replaced with ID 5 HW) and OARB is working great, thus was able to flash it over http relatively quickly. BUT Feature Installer will not work, no matter what I do. I have the codes I purchased, so fire up latest Feature Installer, code, find connect. While connecting, it throws this log:

Searching for BMW vehicles on the current network
Found vehicle [169.254.40.34]: VIN:***************
Connection to vehicle: [**********][169.254.40.34]
Connecting to remote cloud service....
Connected to remote cloud service.
Process complete: Failed to read from NBT2
Process complete: Server connection closed


Tried few different EVOs, 2 laptops and such. Nothing! Anyone has a clue?

You probably tried this. But let the car go to sleep. When it wakes up. Reboot the unit manually via ISTA or tool32. Then try the tool again.

Can you ping the Evo from CMD? Ping 169.254.199.99?

If yes. The above way should work. If not. Yo have other problems

Feature installer don't work with Windows 7, that's your problem.

Use another version of Feature Installer. have had this problem a few times.

Got it to work on the bench. And no one uses win7. It was with .14 version of installer on Win11.
But all is good now. Bench did the trick
