EVO USB and BT Issues
Hello community,
I have a hw 2.3 ID4 updated to ID5. All nice and fine, but it doesn't play sound from USB or HDD (music collection) (USB is recognized, progress bar goes on and on, but total silence). AM/FM works and I can hear sound. Navigation works and the sound works. In pair with the USB problem, the BT doesn't work... it remains in that state forever (pics attached). SW: 18.03ish Thought it is from HDD (some weird failure), I've replaced the HDD, re-flashed the unit with clear v850 and swt. Exactly the same issue. Mind bending issue... No related DTCs thrown Now I found the similar problem but no answer: https://cartechnology.co.uk/showthread.p...pid=550581 I like Objective-C |

Map loads, can import USB to SSD...but no sound as mentioned. Map installed and music import works without sound... What do you mean it needs 2 flashes? I like Objective-C |

Unfortunately they weren’t able to repair it. Do you have any other recommendations where to send the unit? Perhaps to you? I like Objective-C |

RE: EVO USB and BT Issues
Problem solved. Apparently the reboot after clearing the persistency is intended... What a retarded way to reboot the unit via wd. (see pic below). I know another software which puts the headunit into flash mode to patch 2 bytes, another universe mystery =))
Anyway, in my case, after debugging the Connectivity elf, the issue was the missing /var/opt/conn/provisioning file, which is a flag for which the provisioning happened. You can create this file and write a byte of value 1 to it. Related to profiles and stuff.. USB/DVD/HDD and BT working. Indeed simple solution, but being an a**hole doesn't always help... Thanks! RE: EVO USB and BT Issues
Thank you walkernight88 for the solution with awaited outcome. Many are here to ask and receive help and learn from others to gain knowledge, thus it is worth letting the community know how the issue got finally sorted out. Sadly some still prefer to provide rude and sarcastic comments that will help no one.
